 Our Vision

To be a welcoming community that desires to know and share the love of Jesus.

Sunday Worship

We gather  at 11:00 am on Sunday for a time of corporate worship. Our services generally include music, prayer and time of teaching.

We encourage in person worship for all those physically able to do so, if you are unable to attend in person you can join us over zoom. Email the address below to obtain the zoom link for Sunday.

Core Values

Welcome: We are called to welcome both the friend and the stranger.  We believe hospitality is not only a command but an expression of God's love.

Serve: We believe we are called to serve each other and our communities, just as Christ served.

Celebrate: We believe the joy of the Lord leads to celebration.  We seek opportunities to celebrate as a community.

Worship for Children & Families

We believe that being part of a faith community is important for all ages, so children are welcome at HCC.   Twice monthly we invite worshippers of all ages to gather for an inter-generational service which includes music, prayer and interactive teaching. The other two Sundays a month children participate in a portion of the service (music & prayer typically) and then head to Sunday School.  In Sunday school children have the opportunity to explore faith with their peers and learn in a more hands on way.

All students participating in Sunday School must be signed in by a parent or guardian. You can sign in at the Welcome Desk in the lobby.

For younger children we have a nursery space parents or guardians can use with their children at anytime during the service. This space is not supervised.

Affiliation

We are part of the Church of God Holiness movement that began with a desire for Christians to come together in unity as one church.

The name "Church of God" was selected because of its common use in the Bible about the church. It started in the USA in the 1880's and has since spread around the world. Church of God groups around the world associate with one another for the common purposes of mission, theological dialogue, and ecumenical initiatives. (chog.ca)

Reading Bible

What are we learning at HCC?

Our worship gatherings typically include a time of teaching (a sermon or message).  These messages are a piece of a larger gathering and, while they may be valuable on their own, listening to the recording of the message is not equivalent to participating in corporate worship. Below you can access recent messages but, if you really want to know what we are learning, I invite you to join us on Sunday.  You might meet someone new, and you can let me know in person when I use a word incorrectly.

I hope to see you soon.
